On Saturday, March 5, 2011, the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Work Shop, the Project Space Exhibition &ldquo;I Like the Art World and the Art World likes me,&rdquo; and almost 50 studios all opened their doors to allow our guests to explore for hours. &nbsp;Open Studios is a great way for the public to observe art before it gets to a gallery and converse with the artists about their work during the creation process.</p>

<p>As part of <strong><span style="font-family: Times; color: #ff0080;">Armory Arts Week</span></strong><span style="color: #ff0080;">,</span> we invite you to view nearly 50 Open Studios and visit the EFA Project Space and Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop on Saturday, March 5 from 1:00-5:00pm. EFA is located at 323 W. 39th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues.</p>
<p>EFA Studios member artists work in a wide range of media and artistic sensibilities, creating a vibrant and diverse community of peers under one roof. Member artists (floors 3-9) will have their studios open to welcome guests to explore, interact, and investigate their art.</p>

The Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop (floor 2) will also be open for tours throughout the day.</p>

Next, at The Brooklyn Museum he assisted Charlotta Kotik, their first Curator of Contemporary Art. In 1987 he joined the Charles Cowles Gallery and was Director until 1996. Bill became Director of the Elizabeth Harris Gallery in 1997, working with Elizabeth to re-locate the gallery to Chelsea and to expand and diversify the program. In addition to providing support for contemporary painting, the gallery also established a project space that specialized in site-specific installations.<br /><br />Mr. Carroll has curated numerous exhibitions that included artists Mary Heilmann, Jacqueline Humphries, Alex Katz, Jonathan Lasker, Ken Price, Chris Martin, Marilyn Minter, Philip Taaffe, Juan Usle&rsquo;, and Sue Williams, among others.<br /><br />Bill received his BFA from Pratt Institute in 1973, and his MFA from Queens College in 2007. After completing his MFA, he taught a Professional Practices course to MFA students at Parsons. All studios are private with individual climate control. All our studios are different in size and configuration. Lease terms are month to month.
