Stone Litho Intensive

Learn to draw on rocks and print from them! This class is an introduction to the art of Stone Lithography. Beginning with the basics, you will be guided step-by-step through the process of creating a lithograph. You will learn how to prepare your stone, how to manipulate various drawing materials to create imagery, how to prepare your paper with proper registration, how to use a printing press, and how to produce your very own edition of prints! All skill levels are welcome.

Devraj Dakoji was born in Dharmoj, Andhra Pradesh and has exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the world. He was appointed as Chief Suprvisor of Graphic Studios, Dept. of Art, Garhi, Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi in 1977 and as Commissioner and jury member, 2nd Graphic International Print Biennial, Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal 1991. He has been a part of Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop for many years, teaching many classes, organising international portfolios and printing for Robert Blackburn while he was alive.
