Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 12:21PM On Friday, August 26th, EFA Project Space was opened for the public to meet our new 2011 residents participating in the 2nd annual Studio Residency for New York City Arts Workers.

Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 11:08AM We have already told you about the resident's professional lives here, so we decided to get a little more personal. Here's what Gisela had to say about her residency experience:
Image from August 19th Feedback SessionGisela is a native New Yorker and is currently the Nature and Art Programs Manager at Wave Hill, a cultural center and public garden in the Bronx.
Image from August 26th Reception“I really liked my time at EFA. Although I was working on a couple of projects simultaneously, I was able to focus better. I spread out and created a couple of work stations that allowed me to move easily from piece to piece, making connections with ideas, materials, and processes. I feel I can continue work on some of the projects I started here back in my studio in Brooklyn!
I had a great time working in the space- it was open and had amazing natural light. And of course, the other artists made the experience very enjoyable. I wish I could be here another week!
