Relief Printing

From Durer to Baskin, Hokusai to Frankenthaler, relief prints have taken on many forms, captivating artists for centuries. Beginning Relief Printing is for those artists who wish to explore the basics of relief printing. In this course, you will learn how to use proper carving techniques to manipulate black and white space in order to generate images with volume and depth. In addition, you will learn how to properly register your imagery and paper in preparation for printing, as well as, how to print with an etching press. All skill levels are welcome.
