EFA OPEN HOUSE: Open Studios, Exhibitions, Printmaking Workshop

Saturday, March 9, 2013: 1pm-6pm, FREE, no RSVP required 

323 W. 39th Street (btwn 8th & 9th Ave.)

 

“In celebration of the city’s unparalleled artistic communities, Armory Arts Week highlights a neighborhood or borough’s arts scene each night with events.”

As part of Armory Arts Week, we invite you to view nearly 60 Open Studios and visit the EFA Project Space and Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop on Saturday, March 9 from 1:00-6:00pm. EFA is located at 323 W. 39th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues.

EFA Studios member artists work in a wide range of media and artistic sensibilities, creating a vibrant and diverse community of peers under one roof. Artists on floors 3-10 will have their studios open to welcome guests to explore, interact, and investigate their art.

In the EFA Project Space (2nd floor), “Sound of Silence: Art During Dictatorship” will be open for view. Curated by Olga Kopenkinka, this exhibition presents works by nine of the most active artists from Belarus who are creating videos, posters, installations and paintings in solidarity with recent popular protests.
